According to popular tipster Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is working on the possibility of bringing a voice transcription feature to its messaging app. This literally means that when the feature rolls out, the app will start transcribing the voice message. According to the report, ‘We talked about the possibility of getting a transcription of your voice message four months ago using a third party app on WhatsApp for Android.
Since WhatsApp does not support this feature, an additional application was needed, but now things are changing as we can now announce that WhatsApp is working on voice message transcription.
The WhatsApp feature tracker states that your messages will not be sent to WhatsApp or Facebook servers to receive transcripts, but Apple apparently offers voice transcription. While your voice message will help Apple improve its speech recognition technology, it will not be associated with your name.
According to the report, this feature will be optional, but if you decide to transcribe the message, you will need special permission. The report shows that you must give the app certain permissions to transcribe your message. The screenshot shows that there will be a special transcript section inside the application. Where you can paste your voice recording and start the transcript feature.
